Relish Detroit

Originally named “Experience Relish”, the rest of my team and I had the opportunity to work with the bubbly owners of this Indi-Soul food company based in Detroit. As a catering company largely focused on community and education, we were able to enhance our client’s visual branding and identity to represent what their company represented, bringing a new sense of warmth, connectedness, experimentalism, and freshness. Our goal was to create a more friendly and inviting brand identity – ultimately showing the friendliness we experienced personally when talking with the client.

Fonts & Colors

Poppins and Adonis were both fonts chosen for the Relish Detroit brand. Poppins is modern and easily read, representing the experimental nature behind trying new foods and experimenting with cooking. Additionally, Adonis has a more personal and elegant feel for use as an accent. Ultimately, we wanted to combine Relish Detroit’s interest in experimentalism with the personalization and sense of community they offer. The color palette we chose is bright and fresh, like our client’s personalities and the food they create.

My focus: Educational Instagram Campaign and Brand Guide

While the entire team was able to collaborate on choosing colors and fonts, we still had to split up to accomplish all of the deliverables for our client. I was able to focus on an educational Instagram campaign to promote some of the common ingredients our clients used while cooking. In addition, I worked on putting together the brand guide to help Relish Detroit after our departure.
